So I haven't  been around here much the past few years. Hopefully that will change soon as I'm finally finding some inspiration and a new theme to focus my interest on. Preparations are underway and with some luck I'll be sitting down and strart the initial sketches in a few weeks. Yay! It is so good to finally, after a four year idea drought, have some new influx of silliness in my life. And trust me, it's going to get even sillier than before if I can help it.

So ... my Intuos 4 tablet has a curious and very annoying problem: the top thin, almost film-like layer of the actual working area has peeled off  partially and there's a huge 'bump' in the middle that makes using it very difficult. I'm surprised it works at all. Anyone else have this happening? Sometimes it pops back down again for whatever reason and then it peels off again, grrr. So I'm stuck mainly doing sketches for now (hence my looooong DA absence lately). I'd hate having to go back to doing mouse lining again.

Our kitten Casper is growing into a wonderful little tom, it's nearly time for his neutering and I'm nervous as heck about it. He's absolutely adorable, just the kind of cat I wanted, and he's loving his older brother and his stand-in uncle so much. Snutte, the kitten we got last summer has grown into an adult and since he's been pestering my female cat quite a bit lately, chasing her around and stressing her out, I decided to get a little playmate for him. As it happened, the same breeder that sold us Snutte sent me an e-mail about a month ago to tell us that he had a new litter and that there was a solid blue boy in it. So I decided to get him and we broght him home last night. He's absolutely tiny and adorable and Snutte is overjoyed about his little brother. They share the same mother and quite probably the same father as well. I'm so looking forward to seeing the little guy grow and develop and his relationships with the other cats develop.

So the moving ordeal is finally done and over with. We've been working every day for a month. It's been extremely exhausting and I'm so tired I hardly know my name anymore. And at the same time I'm so relieved it's all over, woo! Now I'm really, really looking forward to getting back into a normal rhythm of life, of having some fun again and just being able to enjoy a day without stressing about every single minute.
I'm hoping to have something silly up on DA soon and hopefully it'll put a smile on everyone's face.

Our kitten, Snutte, is growing up fast and becoming a tom. He's adorable. A couple of days ago, his second testicle dropped down after having been stuck somewhere internal for five months. I'm so relieved as I was fearing his neutering becoming quite a huge surgery instead of a five minute procedure, phew! He would have required a week's worth of rest and recouperation, and how do you tell that to a boisterous kitten? So now he's proudly carrying around one normal sized testicle and one tiny little one. He's so cuuuuute!

Oh, and today happens to be my birthday .. which I had sort of forgotten about, so I've made no preparations. There'll be no birthday cake, sob, today but I've been planning to throw a little moving-in party in a week or two anyway so I guess I'll kill two birds with one stone and have my birthday party then.

That's it for now really. Hope you're fine and enjoying the season. I'm really going to try and regain my energy by just strolling around in the woods around my mom's place for a while. The trees have taken on sparkling autumn coats and it looks like we're having some sunshine today after weeks of gloom, yay.

Dear all

The moving has gone according to plan so far except that I caught a bad cold on day four and have battled a fever, a runny nose and a very sore throat since. Still, we're nearly done now. Some small bits and pieces will be 'shipped off' tomorrow and then I need to figure out how to safely move my fish and my 250 litre aquarium, ugh, and when that's been taken care of, all that's left is cleaning the old apartment. My new apartment seems to be the dream home I've been looking for though. I'm quite excited at moving in next month for real and settling down.

Sorry for having been very inactive here the past few weeks, there just hasn't been energy enough left after a long day except for crashing into bed late in the afternoon. I'm working on another XNA/XPS comic that I hope will cause a smile or two, but I thought up a completely new ending for it and thus couldn't finish it before I started moving. Please be patient?
